Description
The number of hours per day that the windward vents were at least 5% open.
Formula
The total number of hours in a day during which the measured windward vent position was at or above 5% open, calculated per day from the vent position your greenhouse reports.
Rationale for use
Vent position was previously available only as a raw sensor measurement. That shows what the vents were doing at a single moment, but it does not let you track venting over time. Vent open time turns venting into one number per day, so you can compare how much you ventilated this week against last week, and relate venting activity to humidity, temperature and disease pressure.

How to add it
Select the KPI in cultivation settings, the same way you select any other KPI. It then appears on your KPI page. Full history back to the start of the cultivation is available immediately, so you see the whole season rather than a chart that only starts filling from today.
Known limitations
The 5% threshold is fixed and cannot be configured per cultivation.
A day on which the vents never opened shows no value rather than 0 hours, because a fully closed vent cannot be distinguished from a sensor that reported nothing.
Values only appear for cultivations whose greenhouse reports vent position.
No reference band has been set yet, so the tile does not flag values as off-target.
